Instructor: Simerdeep Singh

This course is aimed at building a strong foundation for the math needed to study group theory, vector spaces, number theory, real analysis, complex analysis, probability, statistics, and other advanced courses in mathematics, statistics and physics. We will study sets, relations, functions, induction, and equivalence classes. We will introduce integers, real numbers, complex numbers, topology, groups, rings, fields, and vector spaces. This will prepare ourselves for the specialized courses on these topics. We will also train ourselves on writing formal proofs.
