This is the first course in the Genetics series. Some of the topics that we will cover in this course are Mendel`s laws of inheritance, the molecular basis of inheritance, allele dominance, sex-linked traits, chromosome theory of heredity, recombination of alleles, gene interactions, genetic linkage, and gene mapping. Since a course in biology is not a prerequisite, I will also introduce the required cell, DNA, RNA, and other preliminary material from introductory biology.
